The Head On The Door

The Head on the Door is The Cure's sixth studio album, originally released in August 1985 and described by Melody Maker as a collection of pop songs. This 180-gram vinyl reissue, released in 2016 by Elektra/WEA in the United States, features tracks such as In Between Days, Kyoto Song, Close to Me and A Night Like This. Produced by Robert Smith and David M. Allen, the record captures The Cure at a point where their melodic, accessible rock gained new breadth. It became the band's most successful UK album to date, signaling a peak in their crossover appeal.
