Poetry of the Age of Chaucer

The poetry of medieval England forms the first great age of English poetry. Too often, however, students encountering this poetry for the first time are hindered in their enjoyment by the literary and linguistic distance separating it from our own age. The editors of this anthology have aimed to make accessible some of the outstanding work of the poets of the late thirteenth and fourteenth century, including Chaucer.
