Medieval heroics in an enchanting animal kingdom.

If you're nostalgic for tales of valor and camaraderie but crave a fresh setting, "Mossflower" delivers a satisfying adventure with a woodland twist. Brian Jacques masterfully weaves a story as rich and heartwarming as it is epic. Through his vivid world-building, you'll find yourself rooting for Martin and his band of anthropomorphic allies, much as one would for the noblest knights of legend, but with the added charm of the animal realm. It's a prequel that stands strong on its own, inviting both Redwall veterans and newcomers to lose themselves in Mossflower Woods.

Description

The thrilling prequel to "Redwall". The clever and greedy wildcat Tsarmina becomes ruler of all Mossflower Woods and is determined to govern the peaceful woodlanders with an iron paw. The brave mouse Martin and quick-talking mouse thief Gonff meet in the depths of Kotir Castle's dungeon. The two escape and resolve to end Tsarmina's tyrannical rule. Joined by Kinny the mole, Martin and Gonff set off on a dangerous quest for Salamandastron, where they are convinced that their only hope, Boar the Fighter, still lives.
