The track "Fair And Tender Ladies" was recorded on April 8, 1969, at The Hit Factory in New York City, while "Vipers Drag," "Sunny Disposish," and "Guided Missiles" were recorded on January 25, 1971, at A & R Recording Studio, New York City. The remaining tracks were recorded between January 27 and February 1, 1971, at Woodland Sound Studios in Nashville, Tennessee.
