Daydream, originally released in 1995, is Mariah Carey's fifth studio album and a turning point in her sound, blending pop, R&B, and hip hop with her signature vocal prowess. The 2020 remastered LP reissue is pressed on 140-gram vinyl and features many of Carey's biggest hits, including Fantasy, Always Be My Baby, and One Sweet Day. Produced largely by Walter Afanasieff with significant contributions from Jermaine Dupri, Daydream marks Carey's shift toward greater artistic control and helped pave the way for Butterfly. This edition updates Carey's classic with a refreshed sonic presentation while preserving the album's enduring influence on pop and R&B.
