Description

Common's Be, released May 24, 2005, on Geffen Records in partnership with GOOD Music, showcases a tight, soulful hip hop palette. The album was primarily produced by Kanye West with additional production from J Dilla, anchoring the sound in warm soul and jazz-inflected beats. Standout tracks such as The Corner and Go! showcase Common's storytelling over a lush, melodic backdrop. Be remains a landmark in Common's discography, illustrating how he paired social observation with polished, accessible production.
