MACV: The Joint Command in the Years of Escalation, 1962-1967

The United States Army in Vietnam is a multivolume history of the Army's involvement in the Vietnam War. The series treats a full range of topics, from combat operations and advisory efforts, to logistics, communications, and engineer endeavors. Two volumes deal with theater command. The first, “MACV: The Joint Command in the Years of Escalation”, describes the role of the theater commander during the early years of American involvement and how he used his resources to achieve the goals set by his superiors in Washington.
