Description
The Moon and the Melodies is a collaborative studio album originally released in 1986 on 4AD, featuring Harold Budd alongside Elizabeth Fraser, Robin Guthrie and Simon Raymonde of the Cocteau Twins. The record blends Budd's minimalist piano with the Cocteau Twins' ethereal textures, and four of its eight tracks feature Elizabeth Fraser's vocals, creating a distinctive ambient dream-pop mood. The 2024 vinyl reissue, remastered from the original tapes by Robin Guthrie, marks the first vinyl pressing since 1986 and was released on August 23, 2024.
