Solos

Bryce Dessner's Solos is a Sony Classical release presenting a series of unaccompanied instrumental works written by the composer over the past few years. The program features performances by leading soloists including cellist Anastasia Kobekina, violinist Pekka Kuusisto, pianist Katia Labèque, harpist Lavinia Meijer, violist Nadia Sirota, percussionist Colin Currie, with Dessner himself on guitar. Issued as a double vinyl LP on September 27, 2024, Solos marks Dessner's debut for Sony Classical's catalog. The collection blends Dessner's own guitar pieces, Francis and Walls, with works for cello, viola, harp, and percussion that span his classical, soundtrack, and rock connections.
