Black Sabbath's Past Lives gathers the band's defining live performances from the early 1970s, showcasing their pioneering approach to metal. The Deluxe Edition presents material recorded between 1970 and 1975, including Live at Last performances from Manchester (March 11, 1973) and the Rainbow Theatre in London (March 16, 1973), plus Paris 1970 and Asbury Park 1975 recordings on Disc 2. Originally released in 2002 and long out of print, Past Lives was reissued as a two‑LP deluxe edition on January 22, 2016. Iconic tracks such as War Pigs, Paranoid and N.I.B appear throughout the set, illustrating why Black Sabbath remains a foundational force in heavy metal.
