Thomas Bangalter, best known as one half of Daft Punk, makes his orchestral debut with Mythologies, a score commissioned for Angelin Preljocaj's ballet Mythologies. Performed by the Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine under conductor Romain Dumas, the 23-movement work blends lyricism with Bangalter's cinematic sensibility. Released by Erato on April 7, 2023, Mythologies marks Bangulter's reinvention from electronic music toward orchestral storytelling. This vinyl edition presents the complete score in a powerful listening experience that mirrors the ballet’s grandeur.
