The album features John Balance and Peter Christopherson alongside Thighpaulsandra, with Rose McDowall guesting on vocals for two tracks. Originally released in September 2000 on Chalice, Musick to Play in the Dark Vol. 2 marks Coil's second moon musick release following Vol. 1.
