Description

Recorded in November 1978 at Nick's Jazz Café in Laren, Netherlands, this live date captures Chet Baker with pianist Phil Markowitz, backed by Scott Lee on bass and Jeff Brillinger on drums. Originally issued in 1987 on Criss Cross Jazz, the 2023 vinyl release from Anagram/Elemental presents the complete album plus two bonus tracks appearing for the first time on vinyl. The set pairs Baker's lyrical trumpet and intimate vocal styling with Markowitz's expressive piano in a quiet swinging quartet performance. Pressed on 180-gram vinyl as a two-LP gatefold edition, it carries the release date September 15, 2023.
