Chet Baker pays tribute to Billie Holiday on Baker's Holiday, a 1965 session that finds him delivering mellow trumpet with occasional vocals over a rich ensemble. He's backed by a full sax section and a four-piece rhythm section led by pianist Hank Jones, with Jimmy Mundy contributing the arrangements that color these Lady Day standards. This Verve Acoustic Sounds Series reissue, issued in 2024, is mastered from the original analog tapes and pressed on 180-gram vinyl. Track highlights include Trav'lin' Light, Easy Living, You're My Thrill, These Foolish Things, and Don't Explain.
