Description

Throughout his journalistic career, Malcolm Muggeridge was a commentator on radio and television, as a lecturer, journalist, and author. "Christ and the Media" is a sharp, witty critique of media-oriented culture, offering intriguing fantasies such as "the Fourth Temptation," in which Jesus is approached with the offer of a worldwide TV network. Muggeridge reflects on the irresponsible and arbitrary influence of the media on society, without moral, intellectual, or spiritual guidelines. Muggeridge, born in 1903, had a diverse career as a university lecturer, journalist for various publications, and a broadcaster for the BBC. His other notable works include "Jesus Rediscovered," "The Man Who Lives," and "A Third Testament." He passed away in 1990.
