Description
Mexico vibrated with challenge in the 1880's, and many travelers as well as investors entered the Mexican scene. The increased volume of writing about Mexico at that time attests to the attention she received; scores of travel titles emerged during the early years of Porfirio Díaz' hold on the Mexican presidency. This new series reprints significant and readable interpretations of Latin America by foreign travelers. Works selected range from the sixteenth to the twentieth centuries, with emphasis on the nineteenth century.
Published 1966.
Binding of book is loose. Some shelfwear, foxing, creasing, tearing and fraying on dust jacket. Some shelfwear and slight fraying on covers of book. Slight tanning and some foxing on edges of book. Annotations in pencil on front endpaper. Some foxing on endpapers. Very little foxing and few stains on certain pages, otherwise in good condition.
